Startup Review author update and announcements
written by Nisan Gabbay, posted on October 9th, 2006
I am pleased to announce that after 2.5 great years of working at Sierra Ventures, I have decided to leave Sierra to found an Internet company. While working at Sierra was a great learning experience for me, it was always my goal to start a company one day – and that day has come! This is a very exciting time for me personally, and I will share more details about my company on a separate blog in the coming months. In the interim, I am looking to round out the founding team of my new venture with a talented UI designer possessing coding skills. So if that’s you (or you know somebody great), please contact me (nisan@startup-review.com).
So what does this mean for Startup Review?
I am still fully committed to producing the weekly case studies for Startup Review. However, as these case studies require a great deal of time to produce, I am planning to spread the workload by finding other authors to help contribute. Thus, if you would be interested in becoming a regular author for Startup Review, please contact me (nisan@startup-review.com). I am seeking a few people who would be willing to produce one case study per month, roughly a 15-20 hour commitment per month. The ideal candidate will have experience as an Internet investor or entrepreneur. While this is not a paid position, I have found there to be many other benefits – education, networking, branding, etc. Please send me an e-mail with a little about your background and why you think you would be a good author for Startup Review, and I will be happy to tell you more.
Lastly, I will not be publishing a new case study this week as I have been consumed by my career transition. However I have been working on a great case study for next week, so be sure to check back next Monday. Thanks for your help and understanding!
