About

Startup Review is a blog that profiles successful Internet start-ups in a case study format. The case studies are created through interviews with early employees at the companies profiled and industry experts. Each case study will have the following sections:

Why profiled on Startup Review = rationale for why the company is being profiled
Key Success Factors = strategy and product decisions that made the company successful
Launch Strategy = initial customer acquisition strategy and tactics
Exit Analysis = valuation analysis and exit scenarios
Food for Thought = broader insights that can be applied to other Internet businesses
Reference Articles = links to other articles or analysis on the company profiled

The criteria for what defines a “successful Internet company” is not hard and fast. However, typically the company will meet one or more of the following:

Successful exit for the entrepreneurs and investors
Large revenue (>$30M per year)
Well-known Internet brands
